Stisted Parish Council are holding their Autumn Litter Pick on Saturday 2nd November. Please meet at the village green where we will organise into teams. Hi Viz, gloves etc will be provided We look forward to seeing you there

The Village Hall are opening their bar on Friday evenings for the village. This will start on Friday 03 May from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm. If support is good, this will be a regular event. Please support your Village Hall. In the summer there will be seating outside in the garden

Stisted Against Gravel Extraction 2024 There will be an open meeting at 7.30 on 21 February in Stisted Village Hall to discuss the recently announced Essex Minerals Plan. Information will be available on the three proposed sites that are at the end of Kings Lane and adjacent to Water Lane (see map below) This working group will help to prepare responses to submit to Essex County Council for the consultation on the plan. The Parish Council have arranged for a Dust Cart to visit Stisted on the morning of Saturday 10 February at 10.00 a.m. for 2 hours. We are planning for it to be in the usual place on Church walk to allow space for villagers to bring their items Note the new restrictions: Due to the new Environment Agency Regulations, the Dust Cart cannot accept any Persistent Organic Pollutents (POP’s) as the materials will go to landfill. Residents and businesses from across the whole of Braintree district are invited to find out more about crime and community safety in the district at a public meeting hosted by Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst. Attendees will also have the opportunity to put their questions and concerns to a panel of experts. Essex County Council is calling on residents from Stisted to contribute to the development of local nature plans through attendance at community workshops named ‘Talking About Nature’ taking place on 14th May at Stisted Village Hall from 10am – 2pm.
